On the way....

This was, as it usually is, pretty brutal. We left by bus at 7 am from Victoria, took the ferry to Vancouver, then off on our Cathay Pacific flight. Vancouver to Hong Kong, then change planes, then to Bangkok, stop for an hour, then Mumbai for some hours for a wait, and on to Goa via the always good Kingfisher Airlines (and by car to Agonda). Only an elapsed time of about 33 hours, with about 25 of that in the air I think. Experienced worse....but.....ugh. We're still pretty dopey a couple of days later, but I know my feet will hit the ground eventually.

Here we go again…….

On and off, I have been heading to the sub-continent since 1979. There have been, as with all travels, highs and lows to these journeys. Obviously, this journey is a statement that - even with the occassional frustration - I find that the novel experiences, rich culture, varied geography and friendly and helpful people draw me back.
Why the cat pictures at the start of these India blogs?  Our two cats - Tigger and (pictured below) Pete - take a great deal of interest in our travel prep.  So...the least I can do is to recognize their 'active' interest in the goings on.
